Vehicle details (registration number, make/model, key type; VIN only if needed)
Booking details and messages (fault description, appointment time, quotes, notes)
Proof of authority/ownership where required (eg photo ID, V5C, insurance, rental/employer authorisation) – often shared via WhatsApp/email as images/documents
Payment/transaction details (amount, date/time, reference). We do not store full card details.
Directly from you (phone, email, WhatsApp)
Via our website contact form (built with Mobirise). Form submissions are processed via Formoid (formoid.net) and delivered to us.
From your employer/fleet contact if they book on your behalf
We use personal information to:
Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
Book and perform automotive locksmith services
Verify authority/ownership to prevent fraud and vehicle theft
Take payment, issue receipts/invoices, and keep accounts/records
Handle warranty, complaints, and disputes
Maintain safety and security (including reporting suspected crime where necessary)
We process personal information under one or more of these bases:
Contract (to provide the service you request)
Legitimate interests (running our business, fraud prevention, safety, protecting our rights)
Legal obligation (eg accounting/tax record-keeping, or where we must disclose information)

We do not sell customer data.
Some providers (eg WhatsApp/Meta or email/cloud services) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by data protection law.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary. Typical periods:
Enquiries with no booking: up to 6 months
Job and invoice records: up to 6 years (accounts/tax records)
Warranty-related records: for the warranty period (12 months) and a reasonable time after to handle queries
ID/ownership documents (V5C/ID photos): kept only as long as necessary for verification and fraud prevention (normally up to 30 days, unless needed longer for a dispute or legal reasons)
You may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability (where applicable).
